Dornier 228
The Dornier 228 was first flown in 1981. It was originally conceived as a turboprop version of the Dornier DO28 utility aircraft. a new wing was developed which enabled higher speeds than was available at the time from the nearest competitor, the Beech 99. Well over 200 DO228s have been built and they are in service throughout the world.
